About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK-based digital bank to hire for this role. They serve over 150,000 freelancers and small business owners with smart current accounts, invoicing tools, and expense management — and their support team is central to the trust their customers place in them.
The role
You'll support customers via live chat and email on everything from payment questions and account issues to product features and onboarding. In fintech, support isn't just about fixing problems — it's about building the confidence customers need to manage their money.
What you'll do
- Handle inbound live chat and email queries about accounts, payments, and features
- Guide new customers through onboarding and account setup
- Investigate payment and transaction issues and escalate to the ops team where needed
- Maintain compliance with financial services communication standards
- Identify and flag patterns in customer issues to the product team
What you'll need
- Professional, precise written English — accuracy matters in financial services
- Calm and methodical — you work through problems step by step
- Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive financial information
- Reliable and deadline-driven with strong attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services support
- Understanding of basic banking concepts (payments, transfers, reconciliation)
- Familiarity with Intercom or similar fintech support tooling
