About the company
Remote World is partnering with a US-based localisation and content agency to hire for this role. They translate marketing, legal, and editorial content for clients expanding into MENA markets and need a skilled bilingual translator.
The role
You'll translate and localise content between Arabic and English — maintaining accuracy, natural tone, and cultural nuance across a wide range of content types. You'll deliver translations that read as if written natively in the target language.
What you'll do
- Translate marketing copy, UX strings, and editorial content between Arabic and English
- Localise idioms and cultural references for the target audience
- Proofread and quality-check translations produced by other team members
- Maintain glossaries and translation memories in CAT tools
- Liaise with clients to clarify ambiguous source material
What you'll need
- Native or near-native Arabic and fluent English
- Strong sense of tone — you translate meaning and register, not just words
- Reliable and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working with brand style guides
Nice to have
- Experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados, memoQ, or Phrase)
- Background in marketing, legal, or technical translation
- Degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field
