About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK gaming startup building casual mobile games for a global audience – a UK-based employer – to hire for this role. Their flagship puzzle game has 2 million downloads and they're building a suite of companion apps and new titles using React Native.
The role
You'll build and maintain cross-platform mobile features used by players in over 80 countries. Working alongside the lead mobile developer, you'll ship new in-game screens, integrate analytics, improve app store ratings through performance fixes, and contribute to a shared component library.
What you'll do
- Build new screens and flows in React Native for iOS and Android
- Integrate third-party SDKs (analytics, payments, notifications)
- Fix performance issues and crash reports flagged by the monitoring stack
- Write basic unit tests and help maintain the automated test suite
- Contribute to the shared component library
What you'll need
- Experience with React Native – you've shipped something real
- Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Understanding of mobile performance considerations
- Familiarity with app store deployment (iOS App Store or Google Play)
- Good async written communication
Nice to have
- Experience with native iOS or Android development
- Familiarity with mobile analytics tools (Firebase, Mixpanel)
