About the company
Remote World is partnering with an enterprise SaaS company serving professional services firms – a UK-based employer – to hire for this role. Their platform manages case workflow and billing for legal and accounting firms across the UK, and the infrastructure team is scaling up to support international expansion.
The role
You'll design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, keeping the platform secure, scalable and cost-efficient. You'll work closely with the senior cloud architect to provision environments using Terraform, manage access controls, improve observability and reduce cloud spend.
What you'll do
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform
- Monitor and optimise cloud costs across development and production environments
- Set up and improve alerting and observability with CloudWatch and Grafana
- Manage IAM policies, VPCs and security group configurations
- Support developers with environment setup and deployment tooling
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda or similar)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals – VPCs, load balancers, DNS
- Linux administration and Bash scripting
- Good async written communication and documentation habits
Nice to have
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimisation tools
